Laughter

pour Minou

What is this green kitchen chair?
What are these white lace curtains?

What is this place,
Without the face that makes it
More than just the sum of empty space?

You bring a certain light and equilibrium
To the rooms that you inhabit.

Like waking up clear-headed,
You cultivate emotions in a capable way,
With no display of overgrown conceit.

But what I see before me is your smile...

What I hear is laughter like the mountains,
Like a clear stream,
Like the dream of happiness
That fills the soul.
