Forever and always I have loved you,
Whether underneath the hollow moonlight
Or by the ringing bells of broad daylight;
Forever and always I have sought you.
Like two streams that meet in the forest deep
And renewed in strength rush on together,
Ever heedless of contrary weather,
We have raised our souls from a vacant sleep.
No longer single from when first we met,
I found both lonely road and hearth in you.
You have been both a comfort and all new;
I know our story is not finished yet.
