The Sense of Abundance

The sense of abundance
         Imparted by the riverside
Can only be contained
         In the whole of creation.
I stand on the grassy bank,
         Letting reflections lap over me.

Like light on the moving water,
Like trees leaning over to shelter,
Serenity finds its expression.
We follow the impulse of life,
Unsure of our spiritual selves,
And still we perceive the divine.
