Song of Appreciation

How many hands can one grand
Spectacle enlist in fervent applause?

An audience is measured by
Participation, not by size alone.

You and I alike have needs
That never can be met
By any multiplicity of souls.

One other only, joined in approbation,
Provides the missing piece
That makes the picture whole.

How fitting we should find ourselves
Embraced in intimate delight.
