An unencumbered clarity of mind
Provides relief from thoughts that twist and wind,
And aids me in discovery of that
Serenity embodied by a cat.
In order to be clear and resolute,
I fantasize myself a wooden flute
Held gently in the hands of one who plays
A melody conceived in former days
When first the world turned green and came alive;
Through layers of time these reveries arrive.
I find that contemplation can restore
Untroubled thoughts, a hopeful heart, and more.
