Her Garden

pour Minou

Twice in one night, she rose
To look outside the window.
Her garden grew by moonlight
As by daylight—welcoming Orion,
Celebrating sunlight, filling up
Her dreams with something real.

Gratified, she turned to sleep,
Knowing there was somewhere
She could feel alive by being
Part of life. From the crawling
Creatures to the brilliant blooms,
She knew how to include them all.
