One Way

One way to say `I love you'
Is to lean into the beloved's stream of speech,
Seeking out the eyes
With a tenacity that rises from the diaphragm.

Another way lies in the fingertips,
Touching with a gentleness born of admiration,
Overcoming any hesitation.
