Secret Sentiments
You speak softly, yet wish to be heard
As if you carried your heart on a placard.
I beat down opposing points of view
With a loud and throbbing sound that refuses to die.
He is quite content to dangle
Undeveloped arguments before his audience.
She makes every point a case before her conscience,
Taking on dual chores of prosecution and defence.
