Something So Full

Life goes by turns, under
The watchful eye of the sun
And the muted voice of night.

Children wander all about,
     Playing in the woods
         By hidden streams and ferns.

When will the shadows depart
From the earth? Always we dream
Of the land where we're bound.

Newborn and wise in ways
     Undescribed, we wait to recover
         The truth that we've found.

Something so full as a soul
Is quite rare, bringing to view
         What before was not shown.

When we combine our two souls
In a pair, we summon a vision
         Of love all our own.
