I would rather find a meaning
     In the smallest leaf or stone
Than be tied to hollow teachings
     That will never spark a song.

What I value, what I cherish;
     This is what I can recall.
None of it may hold a candle
     To the untold source of all.

Let us find in earthly splendour
     And in all the stars above,
Testaments to beauty's power—
     Echoes of a stronger love.
