The Vagarious Behaviour of Beauty
precludes any possibility
of spontaneous eruption.'
This is not strictly true—
For, as you know, randomness is built into
The fabric of the universe.
Nevertheless, faced with an overwhelming
Sense of order, the beauty of a chance occurrence
Seeks refuge in less travelled shores.
Perhaps you've seen a fortuitous event
Floating in the distance, nestled in a harbour
Known to none.
If so, you must assume that you were meant
To be a witness, for every happy circumstance
Desires an audience.
