Watching Fathers

How many hands have held a child
Tenderly and carefully, wishing to
Protect the innocence within?

What does it take to make a world
Where children will not be destroyed
For the sake of great and greedy wealth?

When will we learn to carry ourselves
As if our children's lives were held
Delicately in our hands?
