Who's In, Who's Out

Look at the man who is sitting so straight,
Peddling calmly through rain in the park.

Bicycle light on the rear blinking red,
Slowly the water drips down from his nose.

Look at the girl with the tangerine top,
Set off in style by a parrot-green skirt.

Reaching her doorway, she turns to the street,
Spins her umbrella to shake off the rain.

What a relief to be warm and quite dry,
Watching while others are out in the wet.

Cats could not wish for a better reward,
Dogs would consider themselves to be saved.
